Send SMS via Facebook Messages

Perayaan terjadi setiap waktu, baik berupa Ulang Tahun maupun Hari Raya Agama seperti Hari Raya Idul Fitri, Hari Raya Idul Adha, Hari Raya Natal, Hari Raya Waisak, Hari Raya Nyepi dan sebagainya. Perayaan tersebut tidak terlepas dari kemeriahan aktifitas masyarakat yang merayakannya. Salah satu kegiatan yang telah membudaya yakni dengan mengirimkan pesan berupa ucapan Selamat Ulang Tahun maupun Selamat Hari Raya kepada rekan-rekan dan keluarga. Terkait dengan pesan Facebook dan Handphone, pada artikel kali ini akan dibahas mengenai pengiriman pesan melalui Facebook kepada pengguna handphone sebagai penerima pesan. Secara tekhnis, dengan memanfaatkan fitur Facebook Messages, selanjutnya pesan dikirimkan kepada Handphone Facebooker yang mencantumkan Nomor Handphone pda Profile Facebook miliknya.

Steps 1
Setelah login ke Facebook, klik menu PESAN pada Left sidebar Halaman Beranda Profile Facebook Anda. Menu tersebut akan membawa kita pada Halaman Messages Inbox. Kirim pesan baru dengan mengeklik tombol Pesan di sudut kanan atas pada halaman Pesan. Dapat pula dengan mengunjungi Profile Teman bersangkutan, kemudian klik tombol Pesan di sudut kanan atas pada Halaman Dinding Profile Facebook Teman Anda.

Selain dapat mengirimkann pesan baru, dapat pula dengan membalas pesan sebelumnya yang telah lama bercokol di Kotak Masuk Pesan. Untuk cara ini, cukup menuliskan Isi Pesan dan mengirimnya karena Penerima telah tercantum lebih awal pada kotak Penerima Pesan.


Steps 2
Centang tombol dengan simbol/berlogo Handphone di bawah kolom Isi Pesan. Pilihan kemudian muncul, apakah ingin tetap mengaktifkan fitur tersebut atau melewatinya dan mengirimkan pesan seperti biasa saja. Dengan mengaktifkan tombol ini, maka pesan tak hanya dikirimkan kepada Facebooker. Pesan yang sama akan dikirimkan juga sebagai SMS kepada Handphone Facebooker bersangkutan.


Steps 3
Setelah Isi pesan diinput dengan benar dan seyakin-yakinnya, kiranya jangan didiamkan saja. Segera kirim pesan dengan mengeklik tombol Kirim Pesan, karena tanpanya pesan tidak bakal terkirim. Bilamana Anda masih ragu dengan pesan bersangkutan, klik tombol Terus Menulis untuk melanjutkan input pesan. Dapat pula dengan segera menonaktifkan/Close halaman Messages Facebook untuk membatalkan/mengakhiri sesi pengiriman pesan.


Steps 4
Perlu dicatat bahwa fitur ini berlaku bilamana sang Facebooker mencantumkan Nomor Handphone VALID alias BENAR alias NOT BOHONGAN. Jadi jangan berharap pesan tersebut akan tiba di Inbox SMS Anda bilamana Nomor Handphone tersebut tidak tercantum pada Profile Facebook milik Anda (check Info Profile).


Berkenaan dengan SMS, pada profile Facebook penting untuk terlebih dahulu mengaktifkan fitur Facebook SMS agar Nomor Handphone yang digunakan teregistrasi oleh Provider layanan SIM Card bersangkutan dan segera terhubung dengan Facebook. Isikan Negara, Operator/Provider Cellular pada kolom isian yang disediakan kemudian klik menu Selanjutnya. Langkah berikutnya, Anda diharuskan melakukan registrasi dengan mengirimkan SMS. Pada tahapan ini, silakan Anda mengikuti langkah demi langkah hingga tuntas yang dituntun oleh Admin Facebook.


Steps 5
Belum tersedia fitur untuk mengirimkan pesan dari Group kepada nomor Handphone setiap Member Group. Dapat dibayangkan jika fitur ini telah tersedia, maka besar kemungkinan Facebooker akan lebih dimanjakan dan dibuat semakin bahagia. Saat Idul Fitri/Idul Adha, Natal, Waisak, Nyepi atau pun Ulang Tahun teman telah tiba, ucapan ke BANYAK penerima dapat dilakukan hanya melalui FACEBOOK Groups.

Tentunya Group yang memiliki banyak MEMBER akan lebih baik dibanding dengan Group yang hanya memiliki sedikit saja MEMBER. Contoh untuk Facebook Groups Ambae.exe dengan member saat ini sebanyak 1.802 Facebooker. Dari 1.802 Facebooker tersebut, kita hitung saja terdapat 500 Facebooker yang mencantumkan Nomor Handphone yang VALID, maka ucapan "Minal Aidin Wal Faidzin" dapat dikirim ke 500 pengguna Handphone dari Facebook Groups "Ambae.exe".

Developers must think mobile first

Google CEO, Eric Schmidt has made an impassioned plea for application developers to think of mobile first when considering what characteristics their new software needs.

In a keynote speech to the Mobile World Congress, Schmidt said Google had adopted mobile first as a guiding principle for all its future developments.

He said the mobile phone was now the central device and representative for individuals, and that forthcoming apps would make it even more intimately integrated with people's lives.

The phone is no longer the phone; it is your alter ego, he said. It is fundamental to everything that you do.

He said it was important to understand that this meant the new rule was mobile first in everything they did. "The important thing is that it is what people want," he said, arguing that it was the industry's responsibility to educate, inform and meet users' expectations.

The challenge is to put the networks and the computational capacity of data centres together in ways that people would say 'Oh my God, how did I ever live without that'? he said.

Nexus One and Android 2.1

Google's Nexus One is an astonishingly fast phone. Use it for more than a few minutes and you'll see that much of the slowness we've learned to associate with smart phones is not the fault of the network but of the phones themselves specifically, their processors.

Today's 3G networks can deliver data to your phone faster than the broadband connections that many people have in their homes: a laptop equipped with one of those USB modems from AT&T or Verizon functions splendidly. Yet most smart phones take several seconds to click between Web pages or launch a new application. That's because the typesetting and image processing necessary to turn the text of a Web page into something that can be displayed on a screen takes a lot of computation. And most phones have comparatively slow processors in many cases, they are no faster than a Pentium 3 from 10 years ago.
The Nexus One, by contrast, has a one gigahertz processor more than 60 percent faster than the processors in the iPhone 3GS, Palm Pre, and BlackBerry Bold 9700, according to several benchmarks. In my testing, it took 2.5 seconds, on average, to click from one Wikipedia page to the next using T Mobile's 3G network and half that long when using a Wi-Fi connection. You can open applications, zoom in on photos, and search your phone's databases instantly. The faster processor dramatically improves the phone's enjoyability.
The Nexus One also has a beautiful high resolution screen 800 by 480 pixels crammed into 3.7 diagonal inches for a display that's roughly 250 dots per inch, making even tiny text quite legible. (Apple's new iPad, in comparison, is 1,024 by 768 pixels on a screen that's 9.7 inches, for just 132 dots per inch.) The Nexus's five megapixel camera can autofocus and takes detailed photos at six centimeters, and it has a surprisingly bright LED flash. The phone also has a standard 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, which means you don't need those bulky adapters to use high end earbuds.
Google's phone runs an updated version of the company's Android operating system, the same software that's at the heart of Motorola's new Cliq and Droid phones, T Mobile's G1 (a.k.a the HTC Dream), and even the Barnes and Noble Nook e book reader. But unlike the others, the Nexus One runs Android 2.1, the latest and greatest version (of course). Droid runs 2.0, although it's scheduled for an update, while the G1 is still running Android 1.6.
Android has been on the market for nearly 18 months, and this new version has a significantly improved user interface that requires fewer button presses for the same functions. For example, when you are in the middle of a phone call, you can now use buttons on the screen to add a call, display the dial pad, switch to and from a Bluetooth headset, mute, and control the built in speakerphone (on the G1, these features all require clicking the Menu button). The screens also show more information. For example, a photo of the person you're speaking with is displayed in the middle of screen; put that person on hold to take another call, and the first caller's photo appears behind the second photo.
Photos appear more often than you might expect, thanks to the close integration between the Android and Facebook. Type your Facebook username and password into the phone's Facebook application and the phone's Contacts (the address book) will immediately be populated with the names, phone numbers, photos, and even status updates of your Facebook friends. You can decide whether you want to have the phone augment existing contacts with the Facebook information, bring all of your Facebook contacts into the phone's contact list, or remove all of the Facebook data from that list. It's creepy, sure, but also kind of useful.

Free SMS with Google Voice

Google made a small tweak to its Google Voice service this week, and will now allow users to send text messages to multiple recipients.

Previously, you had to copy and paste your message into a new form for every text, but now you can just enter the names or phone numbers separated by commas and send it all at once. To prevent spam, however, there is a max of five numbers per text.

"Replies from each recipient will be threaded into separate conversations, so you can keep track of them in your Google Voice inbox," Google wrote in a blog post.

The feature is also available via the Google Chrome extension and will soon be added to the mobile app, Google said.

In other Google news, the company announced Tuesday that users can now "star" their favorite stories in Google News, much like they do in Gmail and Google Reader. If there are updates on a topic you have starred, Google will bold the headline for easy access, and keep your 20 most recent starred stories in a special "Starred" section in Google News.

Vodafone Revs Femto Engine

Vodafone UK stepped up its femtocell efforts in a big way Monday with the launch of a national marketing campaign, new brand, and a dramatically cheaper price for its small home base stations.

Vodafone has quietly offered a femtocell called the Vodafone Access Gateway since July 2009 for a one off cost of £160 (US$261).

Now, though, the operator is ready to make a big noise about the little base stations. The operator revealed today that the new name for its femtocell is the Sure Signal. (A name that's an open invite for criticism should the device not work).

But it's the new price of the Sure Signal femto that will surely raise eyebrows: The operator has slashed the cost of the device to a one off fee of £50 (US$82) or £5 (US$8) per month for 12 months-with monthly price plans of £25 (US$41) or more.

For monthly plans that are less than £25, the Sure Signal costs a one off £120 (US$196) or £5 per month for 24 months.

That price reduction is not the result of a drastic drop in the cost of making femtocells. Rather, Vodafone says it's prepared to deepen its subsidy on the femtos because of the gains it says it gets in customer satisfaction and subscriber acquisition-particularly new customers that defect from other operators.

According to Lee McDougall, senior product marketing manager at Vodafone UK, a "greater level of subsidy is worthwhile." [We'll be] subsidizing heavily and marketing heavily as well," says McDougall. "We're seeing really great benefits and feedback."

He also notes, though, that there has been a "slight reduction" in the femto prices because the operator is "ordering in much bigger volumes now." But McDougall wouldn't disclose how many Vodafone is ordering now, or how much it's paying per femtocell.

For the fledgling femto industry, Vodafone's move in the U.K. is a significant endorsement for the little home base stations.

Boosting the iPhone indoors?
The launch of the Sure Signal conveniently coincides with Vodafone's launch of Apple's iPhone on January 14. But McDougall says that was "coincidental, but timely… just the way things panned out."

So, the femtocell is not just aimed at iPhone users. The primary application for the device is improved 3G coverage at home and in small offices. Check out the video about the Williams family's coverage plight here on Vodafone's site, which gives a good idea of how the operator is marketing the Sure Signal and using it a differentiator.

"Only Vodafone can guarantee the signal in your home," says McDougall.

While Vodafone mainly targets the Sure Signal at consumers, the operator has also launched price plans for small businesses (which do not include value-added tax): A £42.56 (US$70) one off charge or £4.26 (US$7) per month for 12 months for Your Plan for Small Business and Storm price plans of £21.26 (US$35) or more.

Or, for price plans of less than £21.26 (US$35), the Sure Signal costs £102 (US$167) or £4.26 (US$7) per month for 24 months.

Along with the new marketing push, Vodafone has also updated its back office systems for the femto service. Previously, customers had to call Vodafone so that someone could manually register their phone number with the femtocell. Now, that procedure is automated. Customers can log on to their Sure Signal web service portal to add or remove phone numbers, and the changes are made in real time.

Saat ini Nokia diakui sebagai perusahaan manufaktur kamera digital terbesar di dunia karena penjualan ponsel berkameranya selalu memenuhi target lebih daripada perusahaan manufaktur kamera lainnya.

3. Tidak seperti produk modern yang lain, ponsel Nokia tidak secara otomatis memulai call timer saat dihubungkan, tetapi saat percakapan dimulai.

4. Nama kota Nokia berasal dari dari sungai yang mengalir melalui kota. Sungai tersebut, Nokianvirta, dinamai seperti kata lama Finlandia yang berarti cerpelai, cemara pine marten. Spesies binatang pemangsa ini yang berbulu hitam yang kecil pernah ditemukan di daerah tersebut, tetapi sekarang punah.

5. Pelafalan kata “Nokia” dalam bahasa Finlandia, lebih ditekankan pada huruf konsonan pertama dan vokalnya diucapkan secara pendek. Namun bahasa Inggris versi Amerika mengucapkan kata “Nokia” dengan memberi penekanan pada huruf konsonan yang berada di tengah.

6. Nada dering “Special” yang ada di setiap ponsel Nokia untuk menerima pesan SMS, sebenarnya adalah kode Morse untul “SMS”. Selain itu, nada dering SMS “Ascending” sesungguhnya adalah kode Morse yang artinya “Connecting People”, yang kini dijadikan slogan Nokia. Nada dering SMS “Standard”, juga merupakan kode Morse untuk huruf “M” yang berarti Message atau pesan.

7. Nada dering “Nokia Tune” sebenarnya diambil dari permainan gitar “Gran Vals” seorang musisi Spanyol bernama Fransisco Tarrega. Pada awalnya nada dering “Nokia Tune” bernama “Grande Valse”, namun pada tahun 1998, ketika semua orang sudah mulai mengenal Nokia, maka orang-orang lebih senang menyebutnya “Nokia Tune”.

8. Kadangkala Nokia disebut juga dengan “Aikon” (kebalikan dari huruf Nokia) oleh para pengguna ponsel non-Nokia dan para pembuat software ponsel, karena kata “Aikon” digunakan dalam paket software SDK setiap ponsel termasuk Nokia SDK jenis Symbian seri 60.

Setting Modem Nokia 6255 pake Flexi

Terlebih dahulu kita mesti melakukan instal driverNokia 6255ke dalam PC. Setelah itu kita bisa melakukan setting sebagai berikut :
Pada Komputer, masuk ke control panel, kemudian pilih "phone and modem option"
Setelah itu akan keluar kotak dialog yang meminta Anda untuk memasukkan data mengenai informasi lokasi, misal Indonesia. Code pilih angka 1.
Pilih tab modems dan pilih modem yang akan Anda gunakan. Bila proses instal kabel DKU 5 berjalan benar, maka ponsel akan terdeteksi.
Selanjutnya pilih advanced, dan isikan commands sebagai berikut : at+crm=1;+cs0=33 setelah itu klik ok.
kemudian kembali ke control panel tadi, lalu pilih network connections, dan pilih create new connections, dan akan muncul wizard untuk pemgaturan koneksi internet.
Pilih connect to the internet, lalu next. Pilih set up my connections manually, dan next.
Pilih connect using a dial up modem, lalu next dan pilih modem yang Anda akan gunakan.
Masukkan ISP name sebagai berikut :

Koneksi selesai dan klik finish.

Setting Modem CDMA FLEXI & ESIA

Halo teman-teman, ini cara setting internet dial bagi para pengguna CDMA Telkom Flexi & Esia. Dimana Handphone / handset bisa digunakan sebagai modem.

Disini saya contohkan setting handset telepon biasa.

1. INSTALASI MODEM

Klik menu Start -> Setting -> Control Panel -> Modem

Double klik icon Modem nya.

Klik ADD seperti gambar dibawah ini :

Langkah berikutnya sama dengan proses pembuatan modem baru. Cek mark “Don’t detect my modem,………” lalu klik “Next”

Dikolom “manufacturer”, pilih [standar modem type], pada kolom sebelahnya “Models” pilih “Standard 19200 bps Modem” lalu Klik “Next”.

dan pilih port “COM1 atau COM2” sesuai gambar. Klik Next. Lalu klik “Finish”. Instalasi driver modem sudah selesai.

2. SETTING KECEPATAN MODEM

Klik menu Start -> Setting -> Control Panel -> Modem

Double klik icon Modem nya.

Pilih modem yang sudah terinstall tadi, lalu klik “Properties” Ubah “maxsimun speed” nya menjadi “115200” lalu klik “OK”

3. SETTING DIAL-UP

Klik “My Computer -> Dial-up networking”

Klik. OK.

Jalankan dialer TelkomFlexi.

Klik Ok.

Setelah selesai. Kita akan melihat hasil buatan kita seperti gambar dibawah ini :

Klik ” Connect ” untuk konek ke internet, tunggu sampai dia konek. dan Selamat berinternet ria.

Internet Via 3G

Saat ini ada 3 operator yang menggelar 3G secara komersial yaitu Telkomsel, Indosat dan XL. Tetapi hanya XL dan Indosat yang memberikan layanan internet kecepatan tinggi.Sayangnya Telkomsel hingga saat ini layanan 3G-nyabelum bisa digunakan untuk akses internet secara komersial.

Pengguna XL pascabayar (Xplor) bisa memilih 2 paket akses internet via 3G berkecepatan tinggi (hingga 384 Kbps) yaitu paket Mega atau Giga Data.
Paket Mega Data Tarif Rp 99 ribu / bulan kuota 250 MB.
Paket Giga Data tarif Rp 499 ribu / bulan kuota 3 GB.
Kelebihan pemakaian: Rp 0,4 /Kb

Modem CDMA: USB Modem - PCMCIA Modem - Kabel Data

Anda bingung memilih jenis modem CDMA? Ini pengalaman saya menggunakan beberapa jenis koneksi modem.

1. USB Modem
Harga murah, bisa didapat mulai harga Rp 700 ribuan. Sangat praktis, bentuk mirip flash disk, bisa digunakan di Notebook dan PC Desktop. Kelemahan paling parah modem cepat panas untuk penggunaan di atas 30 menit. Bahkan RUIM (simcard) saya rusak sampai melengkung kepanasan.
Bagi yang maniak browsing sangat tidak disarankan menggunakan USB modem ini. Saya kurang tahu dengan merek-merek tertentu, tapi yang jelas teman kantor yang menggunakan merek lain kasusnya sama, PANAS.

2. PCMCIA Modem
Mungkin ini yang paling saya rekomendasikan bagi pengguna notebook. Koneksi lebih stabil dibanding menggunakan kabel data(HP) walaupun untuk penggunaan 6-12 jam non stop. Simpel karena sekali ditancapin di slot pcmcia tidak perlu dicabut lagi. RUIM aman tidak kepanasan walaupun modem agak terasa hangat. Harga di Surabaya (Hi Tech Mall) bisa diperoleh mulai harga Rp 850 an tergantung merek. Bisa dipakai di PC Desktop menggunakan adaptor PCI.

3. Kabel Data (Handphone)
Saya pakai Nokia, jadi mengunakan jenis kabel data DKU-5 (CA-42, dan sejenisnya) Ini jenis koneksi yang paling kuno :-D . Cukup ribet tiap mau konek ke internet, batery cepet habis.

Bisa lewat Memory Card ....

Pertama simpan ke harddisk dulu lagu yang mau dimasukin ke HP. Abis itu lepas memory card HP kamu. Masukin Memory Card HP kamu tadi ke Card Reader. Udah deh, terus data lagu yang ada di harddisk tinggal dipindahin ke Memory Card kamu.

Atau kalo nggak via bluetooth atau infrared antar HP (transfer lagu antar HP).

N kalo misalnya udah mentok nggak bisa juga, mending bawa ke counter yang ada ngisi ring tone nya, n kamu isiin deh disana, sambil sekalian ngamatin gimana langkah2nya penjaganya ngisi lagu ke HP kamu... :)

trus cara lainnya...

ada tiga (3) cara untuk memasukkan lagu ke hp :

1. Menggunakan kabel data USB, ini hanya dapat dilakukan dari PC ke HP. Caranya tinggal hubungkan kabel tersebut dari HP atau Notebook. Mungkin diperlukan aplikasi agar PC dapat "membaca" HP.

2. Menggunakan infrared (IRDa), cara tsb dapat dilakukan antara PC ke HP maupun HP ke HP. Kelemahannya adalah jarak dalam masa transfer tsb harus tidak lebih dari 20cm.

3. Melalui teknologi Bluetooth, cara yang hampir sama dengan menggunakan infrared, hanya saja cara ini lebih leluasa dalam hal jarak. (untuk infrared/bluetooth kedua perangkat tersebut harus mendukung support transfer file tsb)

kalo koneksinya beda, gmana coba???

Cara masukinya mudah, tapi anda harus punya dulu koneksi antara komputer ke HP anda, bisa kabel data, USB Bloetooth, atau USB Infra Red.
Yang paling simple adalah menggunakan USB bloetooth.
jika belum punya coba anda beli dulu di sentral2 komputer, jika sudah nanti kamu akan mendapatkan CD driver bloetooth, kemudian :

lalu restart komputer kamu
2. setelah nyala lagi, coba masukan usb nya ke komputer
3. Klik Icon short cut program bloetooth di komputer
4. nyalakan bloetooth di HP kamu
5. klik menu search bloetooth device di program bloetooth tadi.
6. biarkan usb bloetooth mencari bloetooth hp anda.
7. jika hp sudah terdeteksi di komputer anda berarti anda sudah berhasil
8. untuk megirim lagu ke Hp tinggal send aja di file manager di program bloetooth tadi. biasanya nama menu nya adalah send file.
9. tinggal dikirim deh.
10. anda juga dapat mengirim file dari HP ke komputer dengan cara yang sama namun dikirimnya dari Hp.

Anda juga dapat mengirim file lain seperti foto, gambar berformat, video, applikasi dan game.

APLIKASI PELACAK PONSEL HILANG !!!!!

Hp ilang,,,,,wah pusinng tuh!!!stress kita dibuatnya,,,,,,,banyak data ilang, kenangan sama doi bener2 tinggal jd kenangan!!!wahh jangan sampai deh!!!

Tapi tenang,,ada titik cerah untuk menanggulangi apabila teman kecil kita ini ilang!!! Beberapa saat yang lalu gw nemuin sebuah wacana atau (rubric tepatnya), di salah satu surat kabar terkemuka di Indonesia..,dan berhubung ini informasi yang sangat penting buat kita2,,gw akan coba membagikannya kepada kalian,,,sapa tau bermanfaat(mudah2an AMIN..)

Dalam rubric itu,,terlutis bagaimana kita bisa menumukan kembali hp atau ponsel kita yang hilang,,caranya yaitu dengan menginstal aplikasi pendukung,.disini aplikasi pendukung yang dimaksud adalah sebuah aplikasi “pencari” yng dapat membantu mengembalikan teman kecil kita yang ilang.

Cara kerja dari aplikasi “pencari”, dari rubric yang saya baca,,yaitu ketika SIM card diganti dan ponsel dinyalakan maka secara otomatis ponsel akan mengirimkan SMS berisi nomor IMEI, IMSI (informasi SIM card) dan kode area ke nomor telepon yang telah kita tentukan sebelumnya, sementara ponsel tersebut akan berada dalam keadaan tekunci. Selanjutnya kita tinggal mencari lokasi ponsel berada atau dengan cara menelpon si penemu hp yang nomernya kita ketahui dari SMS tadi (bilang deh,,,,.mas-mas itu hp saya tolong kembalikan ya,,,trimakasihJ hehe)
