Amateur photographers and videographers can now manage their digital content very easily with Corel Digital Studio 2010, be it photos or videos. This software is a fully featured multimedia content managing utility, which consists of four applications in one single package—PaintShop Photo, Video Studio, DVD Factory and WinDVD. With PaintShop Photo, a photo editing software, one can correct digital photos with great ease. Effects such as B/W, sepia, antique or soft focus other than different frames, can be applied to portraits. Color corrections can be done using the Makeover tool and the Fine Tune option. If in case you do not know much about photo editing and correction, the Suggest button and Quick Fix options can help process the image at one go. Straighten, crop and red-eye removal are available as standard options. Unfortunately, finding particular photos in the large jungle of pictures stored on your computer is very painful as it lacks the search/find feature—you would need to import the particular photo.
VideoStudio is great for creating personalized videos. Just import the videos from a folder, camera, TV tuner, webcam or mobile phone and get on with the editing. Simply drag the video clips to the media tray on the bottom half and choose to either re-arrange the video clips or edit/trim/split the individual clips. Finally, a single click on the Create button takes you ahead for adding transition effects. Finalize the movie in formats such as 4:3 or 16:9 and save them in standard/high definition content.
